Cannot Connect to Virtual Machine. Try to Connect Again
are you opening the managing director using domain credentials? effort opening the manager using the local host creds hold down shift right click run as different user

How can you run information technology using local credential? I idea Hyper-Five merely works with domain setting? I tried running using my ain local computer account and could not add the host into the director.

I tried a different user account. It is another domain administrator account and it gave the aforementioned errors. I am starting to wonder does information technology have something to do with the host rather than my client car running Hyper-Five Manager?
The reason why I retrieve this style is the other host is perfectly fine (it contains both domain VMs and non-domain VMs).

need more info .... are you connecting to a non domain Hyper V Server from a Remote Domain continued Hyper V Management Tool ?

Both my client (Windows 8.i) and the host are in the aforementioned domain. I log into my client auto using domain credentials and run Hyper-V Manager using the aforementioned credential.

I will presume that you are running 2012 R2 DC since yous have so many guests, Hyper-V (the service) will run either stand lonely or domain, System Center VMM on the other hand requires Domain, can yous console connect , i.e double click the VM in the Hyper-V manager and log in? (this is like logging in to a hardware machine with out network information technology's "straight"), are you shareing management network with the guest network? sad so many questions with out seeing the setup you lot can install RSAT tools to your admin car including the Hyper-5 manager and connect to each server and piece of work directly from desktop, well-nigh probable it's network, even so if you lot can't log in from the hyper-V manger directly on the invitee you lot may accept an incomplete setup or a screw upward login

The hosts are running Hyper-V 2012 R2 not Windows 2012 R2.
I tried running Hyper-V Manager on my Windows viii.ane machine as the local ambassador simply I could not connect to the host. When I double click the VM in Hyper-V Director, it gave the error to a higher place. Please call back this used to piece of work and I *Call back* information technology stopped working after the daylight savings. But I double checked the time on those machines every bit well as hosts.. they are all fine...

Hi Jared,
I tried it using DOMAIN\Administrator and added the host onto the list. It is the same error:

You were able to add the host to Hyper-V Manager?

I really resolved this.. I right clicked the VM, Turn off (not shutdown), started the VM again and it worked... amazing... Nonetheless don't know why information technology didn't

This just happened to me. It was rebooting later installing the 1st round of Windows Updates (new install).
Thanks, shutdown wouldn't piece of work. So i tried turn off and started it up again. I am now continued. I would ask if you were dealing with updates, merely this mail service is most a year old already. Either way, thanks dark!

This is happening over again thanks to a recent Microsoft update. To resolve it, open up the Hyper-5 manager, shut downwardly the virtual car in question. connect to information technology, then start it.

That worked for me with a in March 2017 with Hyper-V hosted on Windows 10. All my guests could not be connected to by the manager. I turned one off, then restarted and , lo, I could connect to all the guests.

Nosotros had the same trouble. We solved it by doing a live migration to another host.Than the problem was gone, fifty-fifty after moving the VM back to the original host.

The communication from LocalComputerPros solved this for me.
We have nine VMs on a host and just 2 would not connect with the Hyper-Five fault. The beginning i we created a new VM and just attached the aforementioned difficult drives. This was a chip extreme and not needed, because the procedure of shutting down gracefully (no Plow Off needed), opening the VM connection and THEN starting it upward resolved the connectedness issue. No demand to recreate or migrate annihilation.

darkconz mail to turn off works -
likewise if you lot fail over to other node and then connect this works. Also works if you then neglect back over to the node that information technology wasn't working previously on.

SOLVED .....!
Simply turn off the firewall and connect it again. Or bypass hyper-V.....!
:)
