This book contains several practice projects with somewhat detailed instructions. As stated in the introduction, flowers are an excellent subject for beginners as they are forgiving in shape. Some basic drawing skill is required to sketch the flower outlines. Invest in high quality colored pencils to get the best results. The main focus of instruction is using colors in layers to create the natural shading and contours of the flowers.
